Hail Storm Hill

The highest point of the Forest of Rossendale is Hail Storm Hill also known as Cowpe Moss. Hail Storm Hill is an area of hill and moorland which is situated between the West Pennine Moors and the South Pennines. The Marilyn of Freeholds Top and the summit of Great Hameldon is also in the Forest of Rossendale with Scout Moor Wind Farm spanning the hill.
Passing just over half a mile to the South-east of the summit is the administrative county boundary with the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.
